What Lammis Vargas Stands For
I am running for State Senate because the people of District 28 (Cranston/Providence) deserve continued strong, progressive leadership in the RI State House and an advocate who will fight for their health, housing, safety, environment, and education.
As your Senator, on the following issues I will:
Advocate for affordable housing and home ownership opportunities, and lead at the state level efforts to help homeowners combat increased flooding due to climate change.
Continue to support at the senate level the corporate accountability by advocating for the protection of Pawtuxet River, Narragansett Bay and keeping the Pawtuxet Trail open while also voicing and fighting for the concerns about hazardous air pollution in our district.
Fight for equitable funding for our public schools, especially multi-language learners and special education, and continue to advocate for behavioral health and infrastructure investment in our schools.
Advocate to improve the navigation of our health care system, work towards access to health care, and fight for equity and reproductive freedom.
Continue to support our small businesses, the backbone to our local economy, to thrive in our state.
